Dance Deewane’s first episode is all about Salman Khan-Jacqueline Fernandez’s Heeriye magic, Madhuri Dixit’s grace and some exceptional talent

Dance Deewane, that has begun today on Colors, is a show about the passion of dancing. It promises to celebrate dancing as an art form, irrespective of age.

The show begins with a dance performance by a 45-year old, who dances like a dream. The judges in the show are actress Madhuri Dixit, director Shashank Khaitan and choreographer, Tushar. The second contestant, is a seven year old girl, who dances to Madhuri’s ‘Maar daala.’ She is then told to do an impromptu jig and she aces that as well. Next is a person from the youth category. He dances to the Haaye Rama song.

This is followed by a montage of auditions, where we get a glimpse of the kind of participants we can expect on the show. They all seem super talented and full of potential. It amazes one to see such kind of talent

Post this comes 23-year old Neeraj, who dances to Govinda’s ‘G phaad ke’ and he is even compared to the legendary actor. Post this comes in Mansi, who dances to ‘More piya.’ She receives praises galore. Director, Shashank even asks her to train Janhvi Kapoor in Kathak for her upcoming movie, Dhadak. Next comes in Kishin, who dances to ‘Laal ishq.’ The judges are very happy with him and Tushar even dances with him.

The makers saved the best for the last, because next come in Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez for the promotions of Race 3. They even dance to their famous song, Heeriye. Rest of the episode will be aired tomorrow. Overall, it seems like a good dance-based reality show with some very interesting talent to look forward to. If nothing else, the show will at least motivate you to take up dancing.

However, the show could have done away with the melodrama inducing sob stories of contestants. Please let us believe, for once, that it is their talent that has put them on the stage, not how sad their life is.
