Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has planned the release of the trailer such that it does not steal the thunder from his other big release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has made sure that the publicity of his espionage thriller Phantom featuring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, which releases in August, doesn’t start before the release of the big Eid bonanza Bajrangi Bhaijaan. There are two reasons for this — Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. Says a source close to Sajid, “Salman is Sajid’s best friend and Kabir, who is the director of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has also directed Phantom. There is no way Sajid will allow the marketing of his film to overlap with Bajrangi Bhaijaan.”
Confirming these developments, Nadiadwala says, “Our first trailer for Phantom will be out on July 25, that is more than a week after the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.” Even the trailer of Phantom is not being attached to Bajrangi Bhaijaan to ensure that the two films don’t overlap in any way, although Salman would have happily incorporated the Phantom trailer into his purported blockbuster.
