The legendary actor is all set to make his TV animation debut
After being the voice of Dhanush in Shamitabh, Amitabh Bachchan is now going to lend his baritone to his own animated self. Like we informed earlier, for the first time ever, the actor will be part of a 52-episode animated Television series, Astra Force, where the lead is inspired by Mr Bachchan. We now have the first look of his animated version and we are thoroughly impressed!
Tall, dark and handsome as his real self, the animated Amitabh looks every bit a superhero. Notice the white French beard… cool, isn’t it? Though the designers seem to have done a good job, the character remind us very much of Japanese series like Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon. Don’t you think?
Amitabh had earlier compared Astra Force to Japanese animation, but we weren’t expecting such marked resemblance.
The story of Astra Force revolves around an ancient mythical superhero, Astra, who belongs to another world but was stranded on earth several years ago after a battle. Astra will now be awakened by 8-year old twins (a girl and a boy) and is now up and about saving the world. The show which has been acquired by Disney India, will go on air in 2017.
