After Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s stunning appearances at the red carpet of the 71st Cannes Film Festival, all eyes were on Sonam Kapoor, who has been a regular at the festival. And as expected, she did not disappoint. The actress descended at the red carpet for the first time as a married woman and gosh, we just cannot take our eyes off her. Sonam slipped into a white lehenga with intricate silver work by her favourite designers, Ralph and Russo. We especially love that attached drape, mimicking dupatta. Braided hair with a ‘jada choti’ by Amrapali, highlighted eyes and nude make-up with statement earrings by Chopard completed her look. The henna on her hand from her wedding is just adding so much to the whole look. It might have stopped her form wearing an elegant gown, but hey, we are definitely not complaining. We give full props to Sonam for slaying at the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival as always.

She has been styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor (who isn’t accompanying her this time) and Deep Kailey. Sonam Kapoor flew out of India last night minus her husband Anand Ahuja. Minutes after landing in Cannes, Sonam took to Instagram and shared a beautiful pic with Anand saying, “Miss My Guy” proving how she is really wanting her man to be by her side. Anand too replied to her story by posting the same picture with the caption, “So proud and motivated by you and your team of hardworking, super talented and over glamorous girls. Best of luck at Cannes.” This is Sonam’s eight appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. She will walk the red carpet tonight and on Tuesday. She is representing a cosmetic giant, the same one that hosted Deepika and Aishwarya at the festival this year.
