Blackmail song Patola: Guru Randhawa’s peppy track is foot-tapping but you’ll miss Bohemia

Today, the new, well not exactly new, song from Blackmail was unveiled. Patola, the peppy wedding song is sung by Guru Randhawa who has also crooned the original. However, what is missing here is the rap by Bohemia. This is little disappointing as the rap is the X-factor of the original song. However, this version is not at bad at all. You will be happily dancing away on the number for hours without getting bored. The best part of the song is the video. It makes for a very entertaining watch. We see Guru Randhawa unleashing his swag and that smile, which has floored millions. Irrfan and Kirti Kulhari make for a shy couple at the wedding mandap. The actor’s expressions are terrific and Kriti also matches him. The best part is reserved for the end when he is pleasantly surprised to see her dance with such abandon.

The song is sung, composed and written by Guru. It has the cult opening lines, which gives it the vibe of the original. However, in that song Bohemia’s rap gave it an extra quirky vibe that made it totally addictive. Trust me, I listen to that song once every day and sometimes even more. In this song, we hear Guru rapping a few lines, which sounds fresh to the ears. We have seen how all the songs of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety are party anthems, Blackmail is going that way. We cannot wait to see what else the makers have in store. Stay tuned to Bollywood Life for more scoop and updates…
