Bharti Singh’s new show Chhote Miyan to replace Comedy Nights Bachao Tazaa?

Comedy show Chhote Miyan is all set to make a comeback after a gap of eight years. Sources say that it is likely to replace Comedy Nights Bachao Tazaa. Chhote Miyan is a kids stand-up comedy talent hunt and its last season was judged by Mahima Choudhary and Sachin Pilgaonkar. Says a source, “The auditions for the show have already begun wherein kids from different parts of country are showcasing their talent for comedy. Bharti Singh who is a part of CNBT will be hosting the show.”

Sources say that Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza will go off air around the same time as Bigg Boss 10. The ratings of the show have dipped considerably and most of the actors who were part of the show including Shharad Malhotra, Sumeet Vyas, Mannan Desai and AmrutaKhanvilkar have quit the show. Moreover, celebrities refused to come on the show because they did not like roast format.

The show was steeped in controversy in September last year with actress Tannishtha Chatterjee staging a walkout after being addressed as `kaali kalooti’ on the show and asked if she had been eating jamun (blackberries) which caused the “kala mooh“. It was followed by John Abraham objecting to the show-runners taking digs at his acting potential when he showed up to promote Force 2. Recently, even Ranveer Singh refused to go on the show to promote Befikre. Also, the taming down of the roast format affected the show. Sources say that the makers are contemplating taking the show off air.

When asked if the show is being pulled off air because of the controversies, Krushna said in a December 2016 interview, “Not at all, but, at the same time, we don’t want to ruin our relationship with people in the industry. However, I do wish to clarify that John didn’t walk out. He had completed the episode which was even aired later.“
