Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt‘s Badrinath Ki Dulhania has performed fantastically at the box office. The movie started off tremendously and has grown considerably since the day of release. On day 6, Badrinath Ki Dulhania collected another Rs 5.95 crore to take its overall box office tally to Rs 68.23 crore. Talking about the detailed collections, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BadrinathKiDulhania Fri 12.25 cr, Sat 14.75 cr, Sun 16.05 cr, Mon 12.08 cr, Tue 7.15 cr, Wed 5.95 cr. Total: Rs 68.23 cr. India biz.”
With this, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has crossed the lifetime collections of quite a few films including OK Jaanu, Rangoon, Commando 2 and Udta Punjab. It was also the third highest opener of 2017. And all this was possible thanks to the huge pre-release buzz, great content, hit songs, tremendous performances and amazing response post-release. The film also got good reviews, which helped the movie quite a bit. We now expect Badrinath Ki Dulhania to earn Rs 73 crore in the first week and Rs 85-90 crore by the end of the second weekend. Taran also agrees with us, as he tweets, “#BadrinathKiDulhania is looking at Rs 73 cr [+/-] Week 1. All set to cross *lifetime biz* of #HumptySharmaKiDulhania in Weekend 2. SUPER!” However, the question remains if the film will cross the Rs 100 crore mark or not? As Taran further added, “Question is, will #BadrinathKiDulhania hit a century [Rs 100 cr]?
