Badrinath Ki Dulhania box office collection day 10: Alia and Varun’s movie races towards the Rs 100 crore mark post a successful second weekend

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt‘s Badrinath Ki Dulhania has been performing phenomenally at the box office since it released on March 10. The movie has been unstoppable and by the end of the second weekend, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has raked in Rs 91.22 crore. In fact, the movie saw a massive growth on Day 10 which has accelerated it in the race to the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Talking about the detailed collections, trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BadrinathKiDulhania [Week 2] Fri 4.21 cr, Sat 5.90 cr, Sun 7.45 cr. Total: Rs 91.22 cr. India biz. SUPER HIT.”

We have to agree that Badrinath Ki Dulhania has done a commendable job, earning Rs 17.56 crore over its second weekend. Considering that the movie faced opposition from four films – Machine, Beauty And The Beast, Trapped, Aa Gaya Hero and still managed to earn such a huge amount, is fantastic! The movie became profitable after five days itself. But after earning such a huge amount over the second weekend, it has now become the first superhit of 2017! As Taran Adarsh revealed on Twitter, “#BadrinathKiDulhania continues to dominate. Enjoys a SUPER-STRONG Weekend 2. Collects Rs 17.56 cr. First SUPER HIT of 2017.” ALSO READ – Badrinath Ki Dulhania becomes Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s biggest hit till date as a jodi!

Meanwhile, Machine, Trapped and Aa Gaya Hero failed to set the cash registers ringing. While Machine and Aa Gaya Hero fetched bad reviews from both critics and the audience, Trapped got very few screens. On the other hand, Beauty And The Beast performed well, but it was Badrinath Ki Dulhania which continued to rule at the ticket windows.
