We have some exciting news for the fans of Bade Acche Lagte Hain couple Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. If reports are to be believed then these two are coming together for another show of Ekta Kapoor. We hear that they have been finalised for the show, which will telecast on Zee TV. The makers are reportedly working on 13 episodes of the yet-to-be titled show, which is expected to hit the screens some time soon.
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, a romantic drama, was based on the love story of two distinct individuals, Ram (played by Ram) and Priya (played by Sakshi). Both of them belong to different economic classes and inspite of disliking each other they end up getting married. The show, which follows their journey, garnered immense popularity mostly because of Ram and Priya’s chemistry and the splendid performances of the entire cast, making it one of the most watched TV shows. The show enthralled the Indian audience for over three years before it ended in July 2014.
If reports are to believed then Ekta has been keen on casting Sakshi in a new show since a long time. She had her name on her mind for two shows, one of them being the ongoing finite series Kawach…Kali Shaltiyon Se.However, Ekta did not approach Sakshi for the role as she had plans to take her on another show she will produce. The part in Kawach,as we all know, is now being played by Mona Singh.
In an earlier interview, talking about making supernatural shows, Ekta Kapoor said, “It is very tough to get actors to do such shows…I was telling somebody that only Sakshi (Tanwar) and Mona can carry off Emily (from ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’) kind of roles in India.” Sakshi has had a great career all in all with shows like 24: Season 2 , Code Red and films like Dangal in her kitty.
Rumours were abuzz some time ago that Ekta was planning to roll second season of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and was keen on roping new faces in season 2. Pawan Shankar and Aamna Sharif were reportedly approached to play the lead roles in the show. Aamna is best remembered for her role of Kashish in Kahiin to Hoga, while Pawan was the male lead in Kya Huaa Tera Vaada.
