Avengers: Infinity War SHATTERS the lifetime business of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Salman Khan’s Dabangg in just 6 days

Marvel’s latest venture Avengers: Infinity War is setting new benchmarks and shattering several records at the box office. Apart from turning out to be a huge money-spinner at the global box office, the superhero flick has surpassed the lifetime business of many Bollywood biggies which includes the films of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. In just six days, the film has raked in Rs 146.91 crore and is set to cross the Rs 150 crore mark in its opening week.

It is currently the third highest of the year after Padmaavat and Baaghi 2 and is set to surpass the business of Tiger Shroff starrer film in the upcoming days to grab the second spot in the list. “Avengers: Infinity War’ has definitely been one of the most anticipated movies of this year and the response from Indian fans across has truly been unprecedented,” said Bikram Duggal, Executive Director and Head Studios and Chief Marketing Officer, Disney India. “With an epic storyline, larger-than-life characters and our localisation efforts, the film is setting a milestone in the cinematic universe,” Duggal added. The 19th film in MCU, Avengers: Infinity War is a unique one in the superhero genre as none of the heroes save the day despite their cool gadgets and powers. Anthony and Joe Russo have brought the story alive on the big screen with actors like Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch and Scarlett Johansson. The film also features Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman and Tom Holland.
