Avengers: Infinity War box office collection: The superhero film earns Rs 29 crore through advance ticket sales, as per early estimates

Avengers: Infinity War has released today after creating a storm at the ticket windows in the form of  bookings. IANS reported that a total of 1 million tickets were sold much before its release which is only second to Baahubali 2. Ramesh Bala, Trade Analyst, revealed, “#AvengerInfinityWar 29 Crs advanced booking in India so far.. @bookmyshow has alone sold 1 Million tickets already..” [sic] And these numbers are not the final ones. It is till last counted… so you can imagine the kind of numbers the film is going to post at the box office. Bala had already predicted that Rs 30 crore is expected in the first day and a Rs 100 crore total in the opening weekend. If Avengers: Infinity War manages a score of Rs 300 crore on day 1, it will become the biggest Hollywood opener ever in India. In fact, it will become the highest opener in India in 2018. The record presently rests with Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 which has earned Rs 25.10 crore at the box office. Rs 100 crore opening weekend will also be a first for a film this year. Padmaavat got a five day weekend and hence the total was more than Rs 100 crore. Now you know why Indian films stayed away from clashing with Avengers: Infinity War this weekend.
