Arjun Reddy remake which stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead now has a release date. It will hit the theatres on June 21, 2019. Shahid had started the shoot a few months back. The film is a remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s movie which was a roaring hit. When Shahid was still in talks, he told PTI, “I’m very excited that it might come to me, that it might happen. You will hear an official announcement if anything happens.” He later took to social media to confirm the news by posting a picture with the producers Ashwin Varde, Murad Khetani and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who helmed the Telugu film. The lead actor in the Telugu film, Vijay too was very excited to see Shahid in the film. He had revealed to TOI, “Both the Hindi and Tamil version, I am really looking forward to seeing them because it is really cool to see what an actor will do with the same content. I want to see how they did things differently and how they read into the same scenes that I did. As an actor, it will be really interesting to see and the Hindi film is directed by the same director, Sandeep Vanga.”
