Anirudh Ravichander finalised to compose the music for Thala Ajith’s Viswasam?

Composer Anirudh Ravichander is reportedly in final talks to score the music for Thala Ajith’s Viswasam, which will be directed by Siva. Earlier, Yuvan Shankar Raja was said to be in talks for the film, but now reliable reports suggest that he has opted out of the project. Now, Anirudh, who composed the music for Vedalam and Vivegam directed by Siva, is the front-running choice for the makers.

Sam CS of Vikram Vedha fame took to his Twitter page two days back and posted: “I’m overwhelmed by the wishes pouring in. Talks were on, but I myself don’t know yet if I’m doing #Viswasam .. I’m a big #THALA fan, and I will Definitely do a THALA movie in future and give some fiery BGMs. Meanwhile, some exciting news coming up. Stay tuned.” [sic] (Also Read: Vivegam music review: Anirudh Ravichander’s groovy compositions from the Ajith Kumar album are NOT to be missed)

Produced by Thiagarajan’s Sathya Jyothi Films, this yet-untitled film marks the fourth consecutive of director Siva with Ajith after Veeram, Vedalam, and Vivegam. Since Vivegam didn’t do well as expected, Siva is trying to revive his box office mettle with this film.

The film is set against a rural backdrop and will start rolling from February. The project is targeting a Diwali 2018 release alongside Thalapathy Vijay – AR Murugadoss’ Thalapathy 62 and Suriya – Selvaraghavan’s Suriya 36. Cameraman Vetri, a long-standing collaborator of director Siva, has been signed to wield the camera for the movie. Anthony L Ruben will take care of the editing work like Vivegam.
