Amitabh Bachchan ready for a Shakespearean experience on celluloid!

If the recent reports are anything to go by then the Paa actor might play Hamlet’s dad on the 70mm

Onir’s upcoming film, Veda, which is the Indian adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, is finally ready to roll. And if everything goes according to the plan, then Amitabh Bachchan might play the role of Hamlet’s father in the film.

From what we hear, Onir and Sheetal Talwar (producer of the film) are planning to meet Sr Bachchan very soon.

The film will be shot in Lucknow and UK. And as far as the remaining casting is concerned, the makers are on a look out for two fresh faces to play the leads.

In fact, the Bas Ek Pal director is soon going to London to finalise the female lead for the film. “I am leaving for London to finalise a British actor to play the Queen,” Onir was quoted by a tabloid.

Well, if Big B agrees to do this role, it will indeed be quite interesting to see him play Hamlet’s dad on the silver screen. What do you think BollywoodLifers?
