Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha to release in China as Toilet Hero on June 8

It seems that all the Indian filmmakers have realized the potential market of China for their films. The makers of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha are now releasing their film in the Chinese market on June 8. The film is released with the title Toilet Hero and will be fifth Indian release in China of 2018 after Secret Superstar, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Hindi Medium and Baahubali 2.

Interestingly, the film which released last year in the domestic circuit earned around Rs 135 crore and became the highest grosser of all time. It’ll be interesting to see whether it will repeat its box office success in China or not.  Akshay’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was reportedly inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A love story with a satirical flavour, the movie is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, and produced by Aruna Bhatia, Plan C Studios and Abundantia, and presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and KriArj Entertainment. On the work front, the Khiladi of Bollywood is having 5 films in the pipeline, viz Gold, 2.0, Kesari, Housefull 4 and Hera Pheri 3. Interestingly, a staggering amount of Rs 650 crore is riding on his shoulders. The actor has already wrapped up Gold and is currently shooting for Kesari. On the other hand, Bhumi Pednekar is currently shooting Abhishek Chaubey’s dacoit film opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
