It was the quintessential band, baaja and bride setting at one of the most talked about wedding of the season as Hema Malini’s younger daughter Ahana Deol tied the ceremonial knot with Delhi-based businessman Vaibhav Vora at Mumbai’s ITC Maratha on Sunday evening. Bollywood biggies including the entire Bachchan family, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh. Sonakshi Sinha were spotted at the grand affair. Business honchos like the Ambanis too made their powerful present felt at the wedding.
According to a source, the couple went to seek blessings at the Iskcon temple in the morning. The groom’s wedding procession proceeded from Hyatt Regency around 4 pm, and the feras happened later at ITC Maratha. The reception was hosted at the same hotel. Aahana’s step brother Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol’s absence was conspicuous at the wedding. But we hear that the bothers conveyed their well wishes to the newlywed couple.
Also spotted at the reception were Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Asha Bhosle, Subhash Ghai, Juhi Chawla, Rekha, Sahara’s Subrata Roy, Baba Ramdev, Kirron Kher, Uddhav Thackeray, Ramesh Sippy, Bappi Lahiri including many others who had come to give their blessings to the newly wed couple who looked splendid on their special day.
Ahana and Vaibhav first met at Esha Deol’s wedding to Mumbai-based businessman Bharat Takhtani in 2012. Ever since then, the two were serious about each other and got engaged in June 2013.
