5 things we wish Ekta Kapoor retains in the rebooted version of Kasautii Zindagii Kay

Even though Ekta Kapoor hasn’t really announced it yet, we are super excited about the rebooted version of Kausatii Zindagii Kay what with all the speculations around the same. Komolika was and will always be one of our most favourite vamps. Prerna and Anurag were #couplegoals in the ’90s. It was one love story that people followed and loved for over nine years. Of course, it had all the crazy plot twists that Ekta is quite popular for and millennials will probably never understand why we loved the show so much.

With Ekta reportedly planning to reboot this show, we are really hoping that she retains the essence of the show. Not just Komolika but a lot of other things that made this show stand out. The background score, especially, stayed with everyone who had watched this show. Even if you didn’t follow the show religiously like most fans, you’d still remember the song. Hearing it again in the rebooted version of the show will be so nostalgic! (ALSO READ: Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai is the most underrated show on Indian television and here’s why)

Here are 5 things that we wish Ekta Kapoor retains in the Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot.

Ronit Roy as Mr Bajaj

Ronit Roy was a charmer as Mr Bajaj in the show and considering how gracefully the actor has aged, we’d love to see him on the show as Mr Bajaj again.

The soundtrack

*Sings the title track of KZK while writing this* Please let this be the soundtrack and title for the rebooted version of the show.

Urvashi Dholakia as Komolika

Like I said earlier, Komolika is one of the best vamps of the ’90s. Urvashi can pull off Komolika even now. Her bindis, stylish blouses and the music during her entry was one of a kind. No other vamps or actresses have made an impact with just their entrance!

Prerna and Anurag

Not asking Ekta to make them the central characters but please let them be in the show even if it’s for the first few episodes. Just for the sake of nostalgia!

Black ‘n’ white freeze frames

The black-and-white freeze frames during a plot twist were exactly what the ’90s were famous for! Even though people troll those particular scenes now, they are, in my opinion, a piece of art!
