12 times when Shah Rukh Khan became the ULTIMATE girlfriend-stealer, and made Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar look like LOSERS!

Guys, hold on to your girlfriends…SRK is in town!

He is not known as the King of Romance for nothing! Shah Rukh Khan, the man who can floor any woman with his dimpled smile, is a real lady-killer, be it on or off screen! Without a single pick up line, he can charm a lady by just lifting both his hands in an open embrace! Such is the magic of SRK!

Shah Rukh Khan is such an enigma in romance that if you pit him against any other star in the game of romance, you can be sure it would be him who will walk away with the girl. Well, almost every time…

While he is known to have defeated the mighty likes of Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and others, he is also known to lose the girl to some very odd choices in a few films. Like for example, Deepak Tijori (twice: Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Anjaam), Vijayendra Ghatge (Devdas) and Vivek Mushran (Ram Jaane). And of course, there is Sunny Deol in Darr. Who can steal Sunny’s girl when he is in total Hulk mode! SRK’s equation with Sunny and Juhi in the film is like what Reggie had with Big Moose and Midge in the Archie comics, except with more violent tendencies.

However, apart from these, SRK’s record for stealing a girl from his competitor in movies is admirable! Here are some of his valiant opponents who bit the dust…

Rishi Kapoor in Deewana

Lucky lady: Divya Bharati

In his breakout role, Shah Rukh Khan steal Rishi Kapoor (then a saleable leading actor’s) heroine with his smouldering looks, and even gets married to her. In SRK’s defense, everyone thought that Rishi Kapoor’s character had died, so his widow was convinced by her own mother-in-law to marry him. Poor Rishi Kapoor gets a rough deal, when he returns alive, finds his wife married to a younger man and then gets killed again in the process of saving them!

Salman Khan in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Lucky lady: Kajol

Despite being a douchebag who only cares to fall for women when they start looking hot, SRK’s Rahul manages to woo both Rani Mukerji and later, ugly duckling BFF turned hot camp counsellor Kajol easily. On the other hand, an affable Salman Khan had to wait several years for Kajol to say yes to his proposal only for her to lose her heart again to SRK! Ah, life is such a bitch!

Abhishek Bachchan in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

13-Kabhi-Alvida-Na-Kehna

Lucky lady: Rani Mukerji

Even if you are married to the girl, it doesn’t matter at all to the prowler called Shah Rukh Khan. Abhishek Bachchan finds out about this very late in KANK, and by that time his marriage has already been wrecked!

Akshay Kumar in Dil Toh Pagal Hai

DTPH

Lucky lady: Madhuri Dixit

Who the f**k said pyaar dosti hai??? Despite being her childhood friend and spending hours talking to her phone, Akshay Kumar still loses Madhuri Dixit to Shah Rukh Khan. Move over Barry Allen aka The Flash, you have company!

Saif Ali Khan (well almost…) in Kal Ho Naa Ho

Lucky Lady: Preity Zinta

Despite being her best friend and a rich Gujju, Saif couldn’t manage to impress Preity Zinta’s Naina, who falls for her super annoying, nosy neighbour, Aman, played by Shah Rukh Khan. If it wasn’t for the fact that he had a weak heart, Saif would have never married Preity by the end. Even after that, she didn’t get over the dead could have been hubby, because she kept on repeating the story to her younger sister (who was a part of it from the start!)

Manoj Bajpayee in Veer Zaara

Veer-Zaara

Lucky lady: Preity Zinta

Borders are just a small hindrance for SRK as he manages to woo a betrothed Pakistani girl in the film! Despite her fiance putting him behind the bars for two decades, still he gets away with the girl!

Aditya Pancholi in Yes Boss

Yess-Boss

Lucky lady: Juhi Chawla

SRk taught us a new manipulation in corporate rules – patao the boss’ girl, while on his payroll!

Parmeet Sethi in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

12parmeet-ddlj2

Lucky lady: Kajol Poor Parmeet Sethi!

The only grudge the film holds against him is that he killed a pigeon! Meanwhile SRK pretends to be a pigeon lover to get into his sasur’s good books and get away with the girl!

Amrish Puri in Koyla

Lucky lady: Madhuri Dixit

In defense of SRK, Amrish Puri did marry Madhuri in the film by showing her Shah Rukh Khan’s photo. So there is nothing wrong when she leaves her buddha for the real deal!

Apoorva Agnihotri in Pardes

pardes-srk-apoorva

Lucky lady: Mahima Chaudhary

Poor Apoorva Agnihotri of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi fame, was making his debut against the might Khan, and had no hope of winning against him, despite his character being engaged to the girl. His only fault – he tried to make out with the girl he was going to get married to, and she resisted, since girls in India don’t make out before marriage!

Nikitin Dheer in Chennai Express

Chennai-Express

Lucky lady: Deepika Padukone

What do we know about Nikitin Dheer’s character, except for the fact that he has a towering height and has a people who follow him? He is not a liar, didn’t plan to go to Goa instead of Rameshwaram to immerse his grandfather’s ashes, didn’t miss his station because he wanted to score with a girl he just met. This was Shah Rukh Khan’s character in the movie we are talking about, and yet he gets the girl! Nikitin Dheer’s character’s plight proves once again that it’s not good to always have such a towering height in Hindi films!

Himself in Paheli

srk-big-b-paheli-759

Lucky lady: Rani Mukerji

Salman Akshay, you can take consolation in the fact that SRK never spares himself when it comes to stealing hearts of women. And that too twice. In Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi too, he tries to woo another man’s wife, before realising, ‘hey, she is actually my wife! Why am I going through all this stress?’

Come on SRK, at least spare yourself!
