If you aren’t his fan, you will become one after reading this…
Aamir Khan is many things rolled into one. He is a very talented actor. For him, his craft is more important, everything else be damned. He has never compromised with any of his character. He entertained us like a pro for more than two decades now. In fact, he never shied away from donning various avatars which are sometimes very demanding. For Dangal, the actor’s conviction had rung alarm bells in his household. But then he loves to shock his fans with something new in all his films. Let us tell you how he is STUNNING us with his looks over the years…
Aatank Hi Aatank
Many would call it a bad career choice, but for Aamir to take it up at a time where people can’t stop raving about his chocolate boy looks is surely commendable. A Godfather inspired film, Aatank Hi Aatank sees him turn into a cold blooded ganglord from an innocent boy. But more shocking was his transformation. The ganglord Aamir looked evil-meaning with oiled hair neatly combed back with only bloodlust in his eyes. A brave move by an actor who is still making his mark in the industry.
Rangeela
An actor who is known for his amazing good looks suddenly turned completely unruly with a foul mouth. Aamir Khan turned into a tapori, complete with a lingo so crass it would make you cringe. And that’s exactly the reason why Rangeela is one of the films we can watch a lot of time. To think that the film he did before Rangeela was Baazi, this was quite the makeover.
Earth
A kajal-eyed romantic with grey shades is not how we used to place Aamir Khan in the 90s. He wasn’t the adorable guy from QSQT or the lovable man from Ghulam, but someone who decides to go dark when situation presented itself. It was quite stark!
Baazi
Yes we agree his look wasn’t unusual at all but do you remember his drag act? No actor has looked that good as a woman till Riteish Deshmukh happened to Bollywood. We have to give it to him!
How many of you knew about the goatee till Aamir made it famous in Dil Chahta Hai? With a spiky short haircut and a goatie, he was every bit the unattached guy our mothers warned us not to fall for. But sadly, we did!
Mangal Pandey: The Rising
For a role, Aamir would do anything. He not only got long locks for the character but also a thick moustache. He even sported the look during promotions as well.
Ghajini
How many of you hit the gym the moment you saw Aamir Khan in Ghajini? Six pack abs and the 100 crore club became the buzzword only because of this man and this film. We are pretty sure many wanted to get the haircut too which was unlike anything anybody saw. The actor went through a lot of pain to acquire that physique which has now become a benchmark.
Delhi Belly
Aamir Khan turned item boy for his production venture and recreated the disco era of the 70s. With side locks and dense hair, he was almost unrecognisable.
PK
Aamir again took everyone by surprise by playing an alien in P.K. He even went full monty for the film which created a lot of furore.
Dangal
The actor stopped at nothing to become the ace wrestler Mahavir Phogat for his upcoming film so much so that his weight gain became a reason for much concern for his family. But then it’s for his film and he would do anything to look the part.
Once he shot the older Phogat, it was time to recreate his golden era and young age. Immediately, Aamir decided to lose the extra fat and look like this…
Ad to it
Aamir doesn’t only put his everything in films but his endorsements too. He has portrayed a lot of character in these ads from being an old man to a cheeky woman to a tapori. He didn’t mind getting into any garb a character demanded.
Only Aamir can manage to slip from one transformation to another in so less time.
