A few days ago, when I was watching the nearly lacklustre Filmfare awards 2017, hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Kapil Sharma and Karan Johar, one actor’s stage performance during the entire evening stayed with me. That one act was performed by Tiger Shroff. Now frankly, I am not much of a fan of award shows and the celeb’s dance performances, but something about Tiger Shroff’s performance struck an interest in me. I know Tiger Shroff is a fantastic dancer, but the dedication he showed during that dance performance at Filmfare awards was completely unbelievable. It showed his utter love and respect to the craft of dancing, a trait not many of his colleagues show especially for a stage performance. I started becoming a fan of this young star from that moment, at least for his attitude towards his work.

Now I know his acting skills needs some polishing, and he has yet to reach the level of Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh when it comes to histrionics. But the reason, why he is so popular among the youngsters, especially kids, is thanks to his proficiency for martial arts and dancing. That’s when I went for an FDFS show of Baaghi to review the movie, it was jam packed with college going kids, who were whistling at his every stunt, ever dance move. He may still be trolled for his name and his girlish facial features, but no one can deny where his talents lie. In a country that adores both Jackie Chan and the late Michael Jackson, Tiger Shroff is a perfect prodigy for both.
