Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s growing fondness for each other has obviously got everyone talking. First the epic selfie and now with these recent pictures of Aamir and Shah Rukh partying together with the Netflix CEO, speculations have only got stronger if the two are secretly collaborating for a project together. In fact, a source close to DNA even revealed how they are likely to come together for a TVC for Star Plus’ new campaign Nayi Soch which has not only signed SRK to host the Indian version of Ted Talks but has also released a commercial with Aamir for the same brand. Aamir, who hosted a presscon on the ocassion of his 52nd birthday today, confirmed his meeting with Shah Rukh is strictly personal and not professional. Yes! He said, “I and Shah Rukh are just meeting as friends. There’s no project that we are doing. He invited me to his home, we are meeting as friends, not discussed work.” But now does that really mean they aren’t thinking of collaborating together? You never know; what if they have a future plan and want to reveal it only once things get finalised? Let’s wait for an official announcement.

On the professional front, SRK is awaiting the release of Imtiaz Ali’s next; while Aamir will be seen in a special cameo in Secret Superstar, that’s releasing this year. He will also start shooting for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs of Hindostan alongside Amitabh Bachchan soon. Talking about the same, Aamir added, “For now I am only doing Thugs Of Hindostan. We begin shooting in June. I have been really excited about working with Amitabh for the first time. Really excited about it.” Clarifying the buzz around his look, Aamir said, “This is not the look for Thugs. We are just trying different looks. This is one of them. Will try more.”
