Shama Sikander is back on the web. After her sensational stint in the erotic short film Sexaholic, she is back again this time with an erotic web series titled Maaya by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. The Yeh Meri Life Hai actress has come a long way from playing a simpleton in a tv series to doing an erotic short film Sexaholic.
In an interview with Indian Express, the fashionista opens up about her new web series and how it is similar to Fifty Shades of Grey. Talking about the resemblance, she said: “Not really. Yes some parts have been taken. You can see the concept of BDSM pictured, but in a different way. It is a love story but with a different angle.” She even went on to claim that it will be more intense and more realistic than the BDSM and sexual scenes in Fifty Shades of Grey. When prompted about what she thinks of the bold sex scenes, she said: “It’s funny to call them sex scenes or bold scenes because it doesn’t need a tag. It is as natural as the other things you do.”
On the issue of censor, she feels public should have the last say in what they want to watch and what they don’t and applauds the web medium where there is no censorship and people have the right to decide what they want to see.
When asked about her upcoming projects, she didn’t divulge the details but said apart from Maaya which is coming in October, she is working on a few more projects.
