Here’s why Kareena Kapoor Khan is the Walkout Queen of Bollywood…

Here’s taking a look at the various films, the actress has walked out of leaving filmmakers in a fix…

If there is one trait Kareena Kapoor Khan shares with her husband Saif Ali Khan, it is indecisiveness. Both are known to say yes to projects and then back out unceremoniously leaving filmmakers in the lurch. Barely had Saif walked out of Reema Kagti’s Mr Chaloo, did Ms Khan do her own udan-choo number with Rajkumar Gupta and his film Section 84.

Here’s looking at some of her walkouts…

Shuddhi

She was attached to the Karan Johar production directed by Shakun Batra. And so was Hrithik Roshan. And then he wasn’t. And she opted out, too. She told After Hrs as much, “When Hrithik didn’t do the film, I don’t think it just made sense. Because that film I think was all about Hrithik and Kareena coming back.”

Bajirao Mastani

Ten years ago, Kareena and Salman were finalised to play Mastani and Bajirao. But then, Kareena decided to do Priyadarshan’s Kyon Ki… with Salman on the sly, thereby destroying the uniqueness of the jodi. Heartbroken and betrayed, Sanjay Leela Bhansali set aside the project for 10 years. Kareena, of course, moved on.

Dil Dhadakne Do

She was a little rueful when talking about not doing DDD when she said, “It’s my loss because I love Zoya, but couldn’t be part of her film. I am dying to work with her. Inshallah, this isn’t the last film she is going to make, and it’s not the last film that I’m not able to do. Aage bhi bahut padi hai zindagi. Whenever she has a role for me, I’ll definitely do it.”

Devdas

Sanjay Bhansali wanted Kareena to play Paro. They met, discussed costumes. But Kareena’s mother felt she was too young to take up the role.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela

The sets were ready. The costumes were ready. Kareena was supposed to start shooting with Sanjay Bhansali. But her well-wishers advised her at the last minute to say no. “Why give 160 days to one film when you can do three films during that period?” Think of what would have happened to Meena Kumari in Pakeezah if she had thought that way.

Kaho Na…Pyar Hai

Kareena’s debut film would have been Hrithik Roshan’s home production. After shooting with him for ten days, Bebo had ‘creative differences’ with Rakesh Roshan, who as it turns out was battling her mom Babita. She simply walked off… and in strode Ameesha Patel. Kareena went on make her debut with JP Dutta’s Refugee opposite Abhishek Bachchan.
