The actor is all set to come back to the small screen after taking a short break post Balika Vadhu
Ekta Kapoor has adapted Jane Austin’s first book, Sense and Sensibility for her new show Kumkum Bhagya. The story illustrates the life of a girl raised by her single mother Mrs Arora (Supriya Shukla), who runs a marriage hall. The Aroras are looking for a suitable groom for Pragya (Sriti Jha) and are confident about finding suitable match soon.
The promo showcases the Mini Punjab of Chembur – a colony, predominantly occupied by Punjabis and here, the women get together to enjoy a drink after a hectic day at work (Work or no work, they still enjoy their drink!). Mrs Arora is shown sitting with the elder ladies, holding a drink and blabbering meaningless gibberish in a drunken state. How progressive, no? Well, it does showcase a typical Punjabi household where the women and men (we are not too sure about the men part) are progressive in thought and behaviour. Buuuurrrrrra!
The promo doesn’t look so appealing, nor does it invoke any curiosity, but being a Balaji product we are sure that there will be enough romance, masala and tadka to keep it going. Take and a look at the Kumkum Bhagya promo and tell us what you think BollywoodLifers.
