Kumar Taurani’s son makes his big screen debut with this romantic comedy directed by Prabhudeva
Producer Kumar Taurani’s son Girish Kumar, with his unconventional looks and raw acting skills, makes quite a conventional debut with the romantic comedy Ramaiya Vastavaiya opposite Shruti Haasan.
Directed by Prabhudeva, the story revolves around Girish, an NRI boy who falls in love with desi girl Shruti, and has to patao her brother (played by Sonu Sood) to win him over so that he can win her…phew! Rings a bell? Yes, it’s a theme that runs through many of our movies from the ’90s – from Maine Pyar Kiya (where Salman Khan works hard to earn money and prove his love to Bhagyashree’s father) to Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (where again Salman lives on Kajol’s brother Arbaaz Khan’s farm to prove his love for her).
The curly-mopped, unconventional looking Girish shows off his sculpted body, dance moves and action skills – and seems to have all the makings of a typical Bollywood hero. But will this cute boy impress with his acting and win over the audience’s hearts? Watch the trailer and tell us.
