The three Bollywood divas who tied the knot this year will welcome the first Karva Chauth of their married lives
Kareena Kapoor may have become Kareena Kapoor-Khan after her much-talked about wedding with longtime boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, but that doesn’t stop the Punjabi mundi from celebrating her first Karva Chauth, we are told. In fact, a filmi birdie has chirped to us that Bebo and Saifu will be spending the special day together as both of them have no work commitments today. Interestingly, this will be Kareena’s third Karva Chauth. She has been dutifully observing this special day since 2010, we hear.
Another B-town starlet Esha Deol, who tied the knot with Bandra businessman Bharat Takhtani earlier this year and also celebrates her birthday today, will also observe the ritual. “Esha will be observing the fast as this is her first Karva Chauth,” confirmed Esha’s doting mommy, the evergreen Hema Malini, in an interview. and Esha herself tweeted, “My birthday and my first karva chaut!!! Will wait for the moon n then eat my Bday cake!!!”
New Deshmukh bahu Genelia D’Souza, who married Riteish Deshmukh in early 2012, wants to keep her special plans for her hubby under wraps.
Other B-town divas Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty will observe the fast, like they do every year.
