Dhadak is the official remake of the Marathi blockbuster, Sairat directed by Nagraj Manjule. It tells the tale of two caste-crossed lovers who are victims of honour killing. The Hindi version is directed by Shashank Khaitan who has made films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. People have loved Janhvi’s screen presence and Ishaan’s effortless expressions and natural acting. Even stalwarts like Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit Nene have showered love on the film. With films like Soorma and Sanju faring decently it was no cakewalk for Dhadak.

This is surely a moment to rejoice for the Kapoor family that lost Sridevi when the film’s shooting just about started. However, Janhvi gathered herself and completed her shoot. We are sure this is just the start for the charming newcomers. Stay tuned to BL for more scoop and updates!
