Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor has emerged as a huge hit at the box office. Apart from the domestic circuit, the film has performed phenomenally well in the international markets as well. Till now, Dhadak has grossed Rs 60.01 crore (nett Rs 48.01 crore) in India and Rs 11.55 crore at the overseas box office. The film currently stands with the grand total of Rs 71.56 crore at the global box office. Looking at the current trend, we are expecting Dhadak to soon enter the Rs 100 crore club at the worldwide market.
Since tomorrow three films – Nawabzaade, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster and Mission Impossible: Fallout are hitting the screens, Dhadak will face a huge screen crunch at the ticket windows. Apart from the audience, Janhvi and Ishaan have received praises from Bollywood members like Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan and many others. The film is on its way to beat Student of the year and become the highest grosser of the film featuring newcomers. Dhadak is the official remake of Nagraj Manjule’s Marathi blockbuster Sairat, which crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan, who previously helmed films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. It is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions and also stars Ashutosh Rana, Ankit Bisht and Aishwarya Narkar in pivotal roles.
