The biggest blockbuster of all time can add yet another feather to its already crowded cap. The online streaming portal Netflix has now acquired Baahubali 2: The Conclusion for a whopping Rs 25.5 crore. It will now be seen across 192 countries! The magnum Opus is going places (quite literally)! This is yet another feat, the historical drama has managed to achieve, apart form the many records and benchmarks the movie has already set.
Bahaubali 2 the sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning released on April 28, worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Considering Part 1’s roaring success, Part 2 had garnered a huge buzz much prior to its release. After the trailer was launched, the excitement had only doubled. Also, the nation was also waiting to find out why Kattappa Killed Bahaubali? When the movie finally released, it lived up to all fans’ expectations. The movie was alluded for its exemplary story, outstanding direction, powerful characters and its untiring story. On day 1 itself, the film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India as all its venison stormed the box office. In its opening weekend, the film grossed Rs 500 crore worldwide. 10 days later, it became the first movie to enter the Rs 100o crore club! Apart form its phenomenal repression in India, the movie opened to a positive reactions around the world. Only last week, the film completed 100 days and it is still one of the most watched films in Theatres. SS Rajamouli and team thanked all the fans for their overwhelming response. Prabhas, who had become a known face after Part 1 became the most talked about actor after Part 2. His portrayal of Amrendra Bahaubali won him huge praise. Anushka Shetty as Devasena was one of the biggest surprises, her fan base grew twice fold overnight. Sathya as Kattappa, Ramya Krishnan as Sivagami and Rana Daggubati as Bhallaldeva were also praised for their convincing performances.
